The Longlevens Children’s Hub (LCH) is an exciting purpose built building for the community. It is located on the Longlevens Junior School site, but has a separate pedestrian entrance at the end of ‘The Elms’. The Hub is home to two regular provisions, both under the governance of Longlevens Junior School:-



Playdays is an Early Years provision for 2 yrs to 5 yrs, running
 during Term time only.

We are able to offer dedicated early years sessions every day of the week, in a purpose built setting and have a large outdoor area.

Our sessions:

  • 9am-12pm (Mornings)
  • 12:30pm-3:30pm (Afternoons)
  • 9am-3.30pm (All Day)

Stay & Play session Fridays 9:30-11:00 £2  - for parents and their children


Our early years setting for children aged from 2 to pre school. Being under the governance of LJS ensures a strong educational focus and we are passionate about enabling all our children to reach their potential. The children enjoy a mix of free flow play based on their own interests, exploration of our lovely and extensive outside environment, special and weekly planned activities celebrating a variety of cultures and festivals. We encourage the children with their independence, and nurture their skills, supporting them to be ready for school.

The Hub Club

Aged 4-11 years

We offer Breakfast Club and After School Club sessions to Longlevens Infant and Junior children aged 4-11 years. We provide children with a variety of activities from craft, sports and cooking to outdoor play.

Our sessions:

  • 7.30am—8.45am (Breakfast Club)
  • 3:15pm—6pm (After School Club)

 We also offer a Holiday Club provision.(subject to demand)

The Hub Club offers flexible childcare for the children of Longlevens Infant and Junior School as a Breakfast and After School club.

Breakfast Club: Children can be dropped off between 7.45 and 8.15, and are given a healthy breakfast, before being safely walked to their respective schools by Hub Club staff. There is a fixed charge for this.

After School Club: The children are collected by Hub Club staff from both Longlevens Infant and Junior school and are able to stay at the Club until 6pm. Flexible charges apply, depending on the length of time children remain at the setting.

The children are cared for in a safe, fun and relaxed environment. Children are given opportunities to choose their own activities, including creative arts, cookery, ICT, physical activities and are also encouraged to explore the comprehensive outside areas which include the LJS adventure playground and sports field. We are hoping to include a Forest School option in the future…….please watch this space!
